Fibreglass High Temperature Cable

Welcome to part two of our high temperature cable blog, the last blog we discussed our range of PVC, Polyamide and Teflon cables. This week it is all about Fibreglass which is ideally used for high temperatures up to 480°C.

The Single insulated fibreglass high temperature cable is a general purpose high temperature solution that is economical for its temperature class. The conductors are braided with high temp, high strength fibreglass and impregnated to improve abrasion resistance.
• Solid 24 AWG
• Solid 20 AWG
• Solid 16 AWG
For an additional abrasion resistance, an optional stainless steel over braid is available.
With a continuous temperature range of -10°C to 480°C, the application areas for this cable are:
• Enclosed furnace temperature control
• Heat treating equipment
• High temperature low moisture environments

Fibreglass Double Insulated
The DOUBLE INSULATED or FIBER /FIBER cable is a pair of solid or stranded conductors covered with fibreglass laid flat and fibreglass sheathed. This cable is available in a single strand and multiple stranded versions.
• Solid 24 AWG
• Solid 20 AWG
• Stranded 7/32 AWG
• Stranded 7/28 AWG
On request 40 AWG and 30 AWG cable are available.
For an additional abrasion resistance, an optional stainless steel over braid is available.
With a continuous temperature range of -10°C to 480°C, the application areas for this cable are:
• Furnace control
• Glass and ceramic Kilns
• Heat treating
• Foundries
• Plastic processing equipment

High Temperature Fibre Glass Double insulated
The DOUBLE INSULATED or GLASS / GLASS cable are a pair of solid conductors covered with high temperature fibreglass laid flat and high temperature fibreglass sheathed. This fibreglass braid is covered or impregnated to enhance the abrasion resistance and this reduces fraying which can be associated with fibreglass cables. This cable is available in single strand only.
• Solid 24 AWG
• Solid 20 AWG
On request 18 AWG,16 AWG and 14 AWG solid cable is available.
For an additional abrasion resistance, an optional stainless steel over braid is available.
With a continuous temperature range -10°C to 650°C, the application areas for this cable are:
• Furnace temperature
• Steel and aluminium plants
• Heat treating

Double Insulated Fibreglass Stainless Steel Braid
The DOUBLE INSULATED or GLASS / GLASS cable are a pair of solid conductors covered with fibreglass laid flat and fibreglass sheathed. This fibreglass braid is covered or impregnated to enhance the abrasion resistance and this reduces fraying which can be associated with fibreglass cables. This is then sheathed in a stainless steel braid which covers the entire length. This braid is an economical method of extending the life of the extension cable. This cable is available in single strand only.

• Stranded 7/32 AWG
• Stranded 7/28 AWG
On request 40 AWG and 30 AWG cable are available.

This cable is available in single strand only.
